Basketball

Kenneth is playing basketball again this year. He has got the basic skills down now and is working on improving he technique each week. He really puts forth a great effort every time he plays and even made a long shot in their first game!!!! I wanted to jump and cheer, but I have been instructed that I am not allowed to do that. (He is number 45 when you are trying to find him in the pictures.)

Kenneth's Antics

Kenneth got out the bath tonight and decided to go with a different hair "style" - it looks more like he stuck his finger in a light socket - but he thought it was pretty cool.

This is a picture of one of Kenneth's homework assignments. He had to make a geometry poster. He had to do three columns - shapes, lines, and angles. We took pictures around the house for each category, then we printed them and he labeled them. My favorite is the picture of the right angle. Kenneth and I laid down on the floor to form a right angle. Mike stood on a stool and took the picture from above - I think it turned out pretty cool. His teacher did say to be creative so it was fun. The only downside is that Kenneth (along with Mom and Dad) procrastinated until the night before and then we were in a mad dash to get it done - but I think it turned out great!

The "other girl" in Mike's life.

Mike's work dog, Jenny, thinks that she needs more attention than any animal I have ever seen. She thinks that she is a member of the family and needs to be involved with whatever we are doing. This is a typical picture of where she like to sit - even though she is a big dog, she thinks she is a lap dog.

Playing the Wii

Mike's sister, Emily, got a Wii for Christmas - here are a few shots of us playing.

Kenneth is practicing his boxing skills.

Not sure what Mike is doing.

Our neighbor, Matt takes his turn at boxing.

Matt's wife, Becca, shows her skills at bowling.

New Year's Resolutions

I figured that if I post what our family resolutions are this year, we might have more motivation to do them.

Kenneth - to not be so scared about trying new things.
Mike - he doesn't set resolutions.
Mindy - to be healthier by eating better foods and continuing to exercise more.

The entire family has committed to read the Book of Mormon in the next 6 months.
